Early Morning in Château-Chalon

In the early 19th century, French painters of the Barbizon School settled near Fontainebleau forest, pioneering landscape art and influencing the rise of Impressionism. One morning in Château-Chalon, hues reminiscent of Théodore Rousseau's work caught my eye at dawn. The pale light painted leaves in vibrant greens and ethereal blues, blurring reality with dreamlike landscapes. On the resulting photographs, the interplay of light and shadow, subdued colors, and stillness evoke contemplation and the serene atmosphere of the Barbizon school legacy. In an interior, this series harmonizes with adjacent tones (greens, blues) or complementary colors (from yellow to red) to create chromatic depth.
