The Glaciers River

Emerging from the Mont-Blanc massif, the Arve River reveals a distinct grayish-green hue due to its glacial origins. Journeying to the Chamonix Valley during summer, when this coloration is particularly pronounced, I aimed to capture the essence of this glacier-fed river. To suggest the ice's brilliance, I juxtaposed strong sunlight reflections against the river's deep green surface. To demonstrate the river's relentless energy, I froze the torrential currents in high-speed shots. The result is a series of abstract compositions that evoke the vitality and freshness of this rushing torrent. To fully appreciate the intricate details of these photographs, I recommend displaying them in large format, allowing the deep green tones and sparks of light to enrich interior spaces with their energy.
