The Changing Lights of Lavaux Vineyards

Lavaux in Switzerland, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is renowned for its terraced vineyards that have graced the south facing shores of Lake Geneva since the 11th century. These vineyards bathe in a unique luminosity, amplified by the lake’s reflective surface. My favorite time to capture Lavaux is in late September, when the light is ever-changing: sometimes intense, sometimes clouded, often contrasted. This autumnal ambiance unveils Lavaux’s unexpected colors palette, transcends clichés and reveals its enchanting magic. A series of prints from this collection, when displayed together, can bring the grandeur of Lavaux Terraces into any interior space.
